Entertainment Weekly Consults JMMWhen Entertainment Weekly magazine needed to verify a fact for a news item in the November 3, 2000 issue of their magazine, who did they call? The James Madison Museum!!! Our historian Ken Clark was able to answer their question regarding James Madison's height and even got quoted in the item. Read the item. Shame on the writers of the new FOX television show, Boston Public for calling James Madison a midget. Teddy Bears WantedThe Christmas Exhibit at the James Madison Museum will feature Teddy Bears this year. We invite anyone who would be willing to lend antique bears, interesting modern bears, or Teddy Bear related items such as posters, books, cards, etc. to bring these items to the Museum no later than November 10, 2000. The exhibit will run from November 30, 2000 through February 15, 2001. We hope that many of you will want to share your treasured bears with the community for this period of time. If you have a bear or other item to loan please contact the Museum. Museum Continues Building ImprovementsThe James Madison Museum has made vast improvements to its museum building. Improvements have included a complete paint job of the Museum interior and exterior, new windows, repairs and paint to the roof, new drainage & guttering systems and an enhanced security & fire detection system. Stop by and see all the changes. Donations to help us with the next phase are of course always welcome.
